CrossFit Games Open - Local Competition Series Update:
Heat assignments will be posted by 6:00pm
Due to space limitations at CrossFit Garden City our competition series will head back to CrossFit Old Bethpage this Saturday April 16th.
Last week was a blast with athletes not only hitting PR’s; they were hitting their PR over and over racking up rounds and reps. And almost everyone posted higher scores than their first attempt earlier in the week. I’m sure the same will be true for this week's workout so make sure you sign up right away.
The camaraderie, support and encouragement has been nothing short of spectacular. Don't miss out on a great opportunity to surround yourself with dozens of highly motivated athletes as we "throw-down" this Saturday.
Remember, if you plan on performing the WOD's on Saturdays in our highly competitive environment you will need to sign up for our local events. Cost is $10 p/week. If you chose the 6 week option you are all set. These local events are open to all athletes regardless of affiliation. Deadline to sign up is Thursday 8:00pm.
All of the details can be found here.

Congrats Megan! Way to go!

Why that's awful who would do such a thing? Must buy all those cookies so that no one else gets tempted >_>

Congratulations Megan! Fantastic job and very well deserved. You are proof positive that very determined things sometimes come in quiet, unassuming packages. I am officially a huge fan.

So happy to do a WOD today with everyone. No subs or scaling. I so badly want to get back with every one, get stronger, develop my skills, and get my intensity back. You all help me every day. Thanks!

I've said it before Jim but I think the toughest skill to learn in CrossFit is patience. Everyone of us is competitive and we achieve some much so soon that when we seem to plateau or get sidelined by injury its hard to cope with . Developing patience for me has been harder than learning any OLYMPIC lift or other complex high skill crossfit movement . Hang in there man your dedication to Crossfit even through injury has been inspiring to me and I'm sure many others.

On a lighter note: Can any of the ladies who have already completed the Open Wod this week submit their scores so I'm not ranked as one of the top women scorers for our team? I don't know, maybe it's the pink and yellow sneakers that has the website confused but I'm not actually competing in the woman's division despite what it actually looks like when I am doing the wods. No disrespect intended to the ladies all of whom can kill me in just about any wod. So I would appreciate it if you submtited your scores thatnks.

Jim, you beat the snot out of all of us in the WOD today somi find it scary that you're "looking to get into shape again".... You're still the man, kid.
