Jim, that is some upper body strength you're displaying. It's amazing what your body can do in spite of injury. You're an awesome athlete!!

Excellent article. I find myself sometimes trying to over achieve in exercises that maybe I'm not really ready for just yet. If I want to be able to do a weighted pistol while balancing on top of a kettle bell, I damn well better make sure my air squat is flawless. Sure I can butterfly, but my kipping pullup is still a movement I use and rely on daily.
Keeping our foundations strong and hitting basic movements continuosly are what it takes to keep us moving in that forward direction.
