Oh no, egg down!

If you are eating store bought eggs for economic or availability reasons does the old adage re-apply to stick with the whites more? All free range and natural is great but sometimes you need to make decisions and sacrifice something. This is great to know because we eat a lot of eggs

"our ancestors thousands of years ago threw out the yolks and only ate the egg whites?  NOT A CHANCE!  They intuitively knew that all of the nutrition was found in the yolks"- Agreed. However you must also take into consideration that our ancestors were not able to go to a supermarket and purchase 1-2 dozen eggs. In fact, our ancestors (paleolithic) more than likely consumed eggs whenever they were fortunate enough to come across them. Eggs were almost somewhat of a delicacy, whereas today many "fitness advocates" harbor the idea that eating 6-12 eggs a week is "ok".
